By providing an affordable respite for pastors, missionaries, and others in full-time, gospel-centered ministry, we work to encourage and strengthen them, and their families, to better fulfill their calling. We cultivate a retreat that points people to God through the beauty of His creation, in an environment that reflects His character.

About our Ranch

Our family discovered Tarryall River Ranch as dude ranch guests in 2003. We found the natural beauty, amazing hospitality, and relaxed atmosphere to be refreshing. Tarryall became a summer tradition, a place where we formed memories and grew as a family. In 2015, the unexpected happened as God called us to purchase Tarryall. Why? For the purpose of encouraging and supporting those serving in gospel-centered ministry in our community and around the world. After a few years of preparation, 2019 marked the beginning of Tarryall’s Restoration Ministry. We are honored to be able to carry on the long legacy of Western hospitality that is central to the Tarryall tradition – and it is our hope that you will be refreshed by your time at the Ranch!

Located in the beautiful Rocky Mountains, TRR is surrounded by Pike National Forest and the Lost Creek Wilderness, both of which offer a variety of trails and vistas, ideal for hiking and horseback riding. Enjoy staff led hikes or rides curated by our expert horse wranglers. The Tarryall River runs through the property and provides excellent opportunities for fly fishing. In operation since the 1930’s, Tarryall feels remote despite its location just 65 miles west of Colorado Springs and 100 miles southwest of Denver. Natural beauty, combined with our full-service facilities and mission focused staff, provides the idyllic setting for a respite or retreat.

  1. Scholarship guests pay a $500 non-refundable deposit as a commitment to their stay. This fee covers up to 6 nights for the applicant and their immediate family and includes lodging, meals, and amenities.

  2. *Equine activities are not included in scholarship stay and are available at our published rates which can be viewed on our website.

  3. *Extended family, friends, may be added to a stay, when we have availability at our current rates which can be provided upon request.
