Lodging

Here at Tarryall River Ranch, our cabins and lodges provide modern comfort while still maintaining their rustic style and historic character.

Stampede Cabin

Set apart from the other cabins and located close to the barns, Stampede is an ideal spot for families who are looking for a little privacy. This cabin is over ninety years old and still features original log and chink construction. Stampede has a rustic feel while providing charm and luxury, with a full kitchen, two bedrooms, bathroom, laundry facilities, and a comfortable living area. Guests love the cabin’s wraparound porch overlooking the barn and corral. Stampede sleeps up to six people.

Summit Suite

Along with its neighboring suite Skyline, Summit is set atop a rocky outcropping affording stunning views of the Tarryall River Valley. The ranch’s only cabin with a single bedroom, Summit is the perfect home base for a lone traveler or an adventurous couple looking for a romantic mountain getaway. Summit sleeps up to two people.

Skyline Suite

Along with its neighboring suite Summit, Skyline is set atop a rocky outcropping affording stunning views of the Tarryall River Valley. Skyline has two bedrooms and is ideal for couples or small families. You’ll enjoy beautiful views from the wrap-around porch after a long day of mountain activities. Skyline sleeps up to three people.

Frontier Lodge

Frontier, a historic lodge, is nearly one hundred years old and serves as a natural gathering place. No matter what brings them to Tarryall, guests can’t help being drawn to Frontier’s rustic charm, floor-to-ceiling river rock fireplace, modern kitchen, and wide front porch. It’s only a short stroll away from the ranch’s pool, hot tub, playground, and petting zoo. This lodge has two suites for overnight guests to choose from – Maverick and Mustang (see description below). In addition to the two suites, the lodge features a loft, allowing Frontier to accommodate up to twelve people.

Maverick & Mustang Suites

These two suites are located in Frontier Lodge, making them the perfect base camp for guests who have come to the ranch to be close to the action. Each suite has two bedrooms and a bathroom. These suites are private from, but connected to, the lodge’s main space. The common area consists of a newly-renovated kitchen and a Western-themed game room with a floor-to-ceiling river rock fireplace, plenty of couches and chairs, a piano, and a projector and screen for watching movies on Tarryall Movie Nights. Outside, guests can relax on the lodge’s welcoming front porch or take a stroll to the nearby playground, petting zoo, pool, or hot tub. Maverick and Mustang each sleep up to five people.

Winchester & Colt Suites

Tucked away slightly from the major gathering spaces at the ranch, the Winchester and Colt suites make up our Gunsmoke Cabin. Whether renting one side or both, this duplex is the perfect spot for people looking for a serene mountain retreat while remaining close to all the fun and activities the ranch has to offer. Each suite is made up of two bedrooms with pine log furnishings, two bathrooms, and a small living area with a wood-burning fireplace. Guests especially enjoy the cabin’s front porch with its rocking chairs and view of the nearby Aspen Grove. Each suite is able to sleep up to six people.

Apache Cabin

Guests booking their stay in Apache are in for a real treat. Newly renovated to include a private kitchen, this cabin has three bedrooms, a living space featuring a wood-burning fireplace, and a front porch. It is perfect for families or 2-3 couples looking for a Colorado mountain getaway. Apache is located nearest to Waypoint Lodge, which offers meals and bottomless cups of coffee during the summer months. It’s also just a short walk to The Lookout, which gives visitors a beautiful panoramic view of the ranch and surrounding properties. Apache sleeps up to seven people.

Conestoga Wagons

Enjoy a “prairie style” stay in our covered wagons, Carson and Bird! Named after renowned Western explorers Isabella Bird and Kit Carson, these wagons have all the charm of a night under the stars, with the amenities of a normal cabin! Each wagon can fit up to four people.

Dining

Part of any great getaway is great food! Our chefs provide just that, with locally sourced ranch cuisine served family style in historic Waypoint Lodge. We combine fresh ingredients with recipes that any cowboy would enjoy. Does someone in your group have a dietary restriction? Not a problem! We can accommodate a variety of food needs without sacrificing great taste. If you’re hankering for a little something between meals, you’ll find bottomless coffee, freshly baked cookies, and a variety of snacks perfect for taking on-the-go in Waypoint’s dining room. While you’re at the lodge, check out the cozy sitting area or take your coffee out to the patio and enjoy the view. Your inclusive visit includes dinner on the evening of your arrival, three home-cooked meals a day during your stay, and breakfast the morning of your departure.
